Ian came to Alpha House to get us up and running quickly, but he was always planning to be with us for a short time and will be moving to India early in 2012. We therefore have two vacancies. For more information about either post, please contact Ian via the Contacts page.

Project Manager (22.5 hours)

We are currently seeking a Project Manager (3 days per week) who is able to provide leadership and effective operational management and, in partnership with the trustees, to develop the organisation's work so that clients can thrive and contribute to the organisation and the wider society.

The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and will have experience of supervising and managing staff. Your experience of leadership and setting and achieving challenging goals will help you shape the direction of Alpha House´s vision within its Christian ethos. A strong communicator, you will be confident when dealing with people at all levels and you will have a good knowledge of housing, finance, substance misuse and recovery.

The closing date is Tuesday 22 November 2011 at 9:00 am.

Interviews for this role will be held on Thursday 8th December 2011.

Housing Support Worker (substance Misuse) (22.5 hours)

We are seeking a housing support worker to provide support for clients who have had a history of substance misuse and are motivated to remain drug and alcohol free. This could be in either Alpha House accommodation or in the client's home. It is expected that with support clients will eventually move on into their own individual accommodation. This post involves working with ex-offenders.

The successful candidate will provide housing related support services to clients referred to us by our partners. Individual support plans will be developed with clients in order to meet their identified support needs and achieve their goals and aspirations.

The closing date is Tuesday 22 November 2011 at 9:00 am.

Interviews for this role will be held on Thursday 15th December 2011.
